Seeking someone to
take over Barn Cats, Inc.: I would like to officially
retire as Executive Director in 2019. I
can retain the fundraising pieces but would like to stop the relocations,
equipment pickups, phone calls, and emails…the day-to-day stuff. I will be available for consultation. If interested call or email Barn
Cats…972-315-2875 info@barncats.org

Our Cats after Release:
1.
Burleson: Ciabatta and Clyde
went to this barn behind the family home.
Ciabatta is seen regularly and Clyde sometimes…but both are still
there.
2.
Gunter: Jenny and Midnight went
to this shed connected to the house.
Jenny is seen regularly but there is too much food disappearing to just
be one female. SO – I think Midnight is
still around. Here is a picture of Jenny
in the backyard.
Calls/Emails: Rockwall County: Barning Group NOT TESTING!
Geez! This is bad news. They have no idea if they are placing feline
leukemia positive cats on people’s property where there might be other cats
living….even OUR CATS! I was angry
about this and expressed it to the organization. BE CAREFUL, PEOPLE! Only take feline leukemia negative cats
(tested cats) onto your property. They
wanted me to recommend them on our website – NOPE – NO CAN DO! Too dangerous!
BMG: Too Many Cats / Kittens – NO KIDDING!
This
is all the emails said: “Please help have way too many thank
you.” -- NO CITY – NO NAME – but there
is a phone number. I called it. NO ONE ANSWERED and NO NAME GIVEN!
If
she/he had looked at the website they would know we do not take kittens. ALSO – these adults are obviously NOT
FIXED! You can stop this by having the
first one or two spayed and neutered then you DO NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM! We shall see if she calls me back. ?????
OMG: Barn Cat Bash – DONE!
The
last Bash was help last Sunday, 6/3/18, at Bistecca in Highland Village. 77 attended the buffet dinner, silent, and
live auctions. We did well on the
auction and only returned with a hand full of stuff. I will donate that to other auctions this
coming year. THANKS to all who attended! If you missed it, SORRY – that is probably
the last one. It has been a very good 10
years for the event. THANKS!
Thanks
for following the Barn Cats Blog. Peg
