Our Cats after Release:
Picked
up in Wylie on Saturday. This was the
location where I got stuck in the mud 3 weeks ago. The ground was DRY on Saturday…rained again
on Sunday – glad it was done. All 5 are
hanging out. The 4 from DCL are mostly
living in the barn and the 2 from Garland are going back and forth to the house
from the barn. All good news.
Calls/Emails: Older Cats being
removed from Apartment Property
Received
a call a Dallas location. New management
“wants the cats gone – NOW!” The same
person has been feeding them for about 10 years. The good news is that there is a location
that wants BIG CATS so will try and place them in their shed. Hope this works out for the sake of the
cats. Will have an update next
week.
OMG: Sox went over the
Rainbow Bridge this week!
Sox
came to Barn Cats from the Hickory Creek city shelter. He was 12 years old when turned into the
shelter because the family got a new puppy!
I HATE PEOPLE! I picked him up,
got the shots updated, and brought him home.
He went to the Anna Senior Home when it opened up last year in
April. He passed away in his sleep over Tuesday
night. July 2-3, 2019. We gave him some additional years for his
life.

TRANSITION
UPDATE: Have gotten all the winter
items out of my shed and into the house to be separated and given to the
various groups. Each group will get:
1.
Winter hidey boxes
2.
Small furry blankets to go into the hidey boxes
3.
Rugs for the relo cages
4.
Blankets to cover the cages if needed
5.
One heat lamp
6.
One heated disk
I
hope to start the delivery process on Monday.
I am going to contact folks later today to set up delivery days/times. I just hope that they all see the need for
these items because none have ever been involved in a “winter relo”.
Thanks
for following the Barn Cats Blog. Peg
