MUD!
OMG (Oh My God): Two Older Cats
Relocations: I placed 5 this
week.

Our Cats after Release: No equipment picked up this
week.
Calls/Emails: Cats at
Valley View Mall—UPDATE, AGAIN!
I
have been taking cats from that location for years now. It is surrounded by apartments so obvious
what is going on. FINALLY demolition is
due to start in March. Hope barn calls
pick up before then so I can take more of them.
Would like it to be warmer, too.
UPDATE: Trapping started last Thursday but nothing was
caught. They will try for 3 next
Thursday. I have a potential location
for all of them but weather will need to be more stable.
UPDATE: Still no one captured. That location is surrounded by apartments so
the cats may be eating in multiple locations.
BMG: MUD – MUD – and MORE MUD!
Was
getting ready to take 3 cats to Wolfe City (a 2-hour drive each way) when the
phone rang. It was the folks that live
on the property and the mud was treacherous on the way to the barn. They had just lost their previous barn cat who
was 16 years old. That speaks well for
the property. Hopefully it will dry up
enough this week before it RAINS AGAIN on Thursday!
OMG: Two Older Cats
Received
an email to help with 2 cats that are semi-feral. The owner had passed away. WELL – they have been totally indoor and are
10 years old! Nope! It is not fair to 10-year-old cats to be put
in a barn environment. They would be
sitting ducks for any predator. Cannot
help with this one.
Thanks
for following the Barn Cats Blog. Peg
