Corinth – Mork
and Mindy are doing well in Corinth in their “designer” cat house in the
trees. They are seen each day playing in
the yard – GREAT!
Calls/EMAILS You Don’t Want to Get: We
had folks move this week and were unable to get a rental to take all their cats. We received 9 on Tuesday – 3 are not spayed
and none of them has shots that are up to date.
One was friendly and went to an adoption group (Chuckie). The others are mostly feral or
semi-feral. Got those 3 spayed on Friday
at ARF (Animal Rescue Foundation in Flower Mound) and hope to get them placed
in a garage on Monday.
BMG: I know we need the rain – but it is a
downpour today with fog and sleet. With
that much water on the roads and it dropping below freezing tonight, the rush
hour on Monday morning will be TERRIBLE!
I may not get those 3 cats out to Fort Worth. Rain is good – sleet and ice, not so
much!
OMG: Still no progress on 2013 closeout. It is on my radar but it will really take
some time. All that info needs to be in
put to a fundraising letter that should have already gone out…BUMMER!
Vacation: I caught a flight to Santiago, Chili then got on a
cruise ship that was going west. One of
the islands we visited was Easter Island.
I always thought there were 10 or 12 of those statues – WRONG! There are 200 of them! Who knew!
We ended the 18-day adventure in Tahiti and flew home from there. It was a great trip and I enjoyed seeing my
good friend Lynn once again.
Thanks for following the
Barn Cats blog. See you next week! Peg
