Cats after Release:
·
Sherman – Gina
and Gracie are doing fine in Sherman but are not seen much. As long as they are doing their job…
·
Windom – TJ,
Moony, and Sunny are all hanging around.
One of them keeps going out at night….bad move! Hope he gets the point and begins to stay in
when the sun goes down.
·
Sanger – All 5 of
these siblings are hanging around the shop.
·
Aledo – Zoe and
Mindy are living off the patio in Aledo.
The family does not see them much but they are eating and using the
litter box.
·
McKinney – This
heated garage was perfect for Tom and Brodie. They have made themselves at home
between the garage and workshop that are both heated. All is well in McKinney!
·
Flower Mound –
Buddy is “ruling the roost” in his garage home.
He was “instant” friends with their dog, Austin. He rolls on his back to “play” and even walks
between the dog’s legs.

Calls/EMAILS You Don’t Want to Get: Got
two out of three cats from Weatherford this week. BUT – I picked them up because I was in
Mineral Wells and Aledo. Notice how 2
suddenly became 3. AND – I really wonder
if any of these 3 are part of the original 6 she discussed with me. HUMMM!
BMG: A lady called All Care with an injured
neighborhood cat that is friendly. He
had an open wound on one of his legs. She
asked if she could bring him to the clinic, get this checked out, returning him
to the neighborhood, and work out a payment plan with Barn Cats. The clinic called me and I said OK – but want
him tested first. She brought him in on
Friday but failed to pick him up on Saturday.
“The property owners do not want him back” she said – WHAT? This is like the old bait and switch
routine. NOW – stuck with another
cat. I guess I will have to be more
careful next time…make people WAIT while the cat is treated and take him home
then.
OMG: Well Christmas is upon us and then New Years is just
around the corner! Barn Cats has had
our best year ever…I will give everyone the yearly stats when I return in
mid-January. TAKE CARE and FEED A STRAY
FOR CHRISTMAS!
Thanks for following the
Barn Cats blog. See you next year! Peg
