Krum:  Crockett and Bucky went to this garage/workshop/man cave. I saw Bucky when I picked up equipment but Crockett was asleep somewhere. Their daughter sent me a picture of Crockett and I took some of Bucky. Bucky was abandoned in Lewisville and Crockett came from the Tri-City Shelter. They are doing great in Krum.

Phone Calls/Emails You Don’t Want to Get:
Received a call a week or so ago from a lady in Colorado Springs. I called her back and her husband answered the cell phone. They were in the process of evacuating their home from the approaching wild fires that had been burning there. OK – I hung up fast – they have better things to do. Got an update this week and their home was spared! YEAH!  Good things happen to cat people!

BMG:
I really admire folks that feed feral colonies. These folks are out in rain, cold, sleet, snow, heat – whatever Texas can do to the weather. BUT – when you come across FRIENDLY cats that have been abandoned, GET THEM OFF THE STREETS! Give them a chance to have a safe, indoor home once again. Don’t just continue and continue to feed them with the ferals. Give them a better life! Friendly cats like people which means that they are more susceptible to getting HURT by mean, un-caring people. They get closed up in sheds or abandoned apartment buildings with no food or water – get shot with BB guns – on and on and on. They TRUST people which makes them an easy target for folks that want to do them harm.
ANSWER:  Get them to BARN CATS – we will find an adoption group to take them.

While traveling in Mansfield, I came across a street named MOUSER WAY. Maybe Barn Cats should move onto MOUSER WAY! LOVE IT!
Thanks for following the Barn Cats blog.  See you next week!           Peg
