Calls/Emails:   Unable to Reach a Barn Owner…???
BMG (Bitch/Moan/Groan):  Black Cats
OMG (Oh My God):  Cats for the Backyard in Allen

Relocations:   I placed 4 this week.
2          Backyard in Allen (Fran, Denine)
2          Garage in Southlake (Sandy, Thomas)

Our Cats after Release:
There was no equipment to pick up this week.  However, I received an update about some cats I placed in Ennis last year.  Carl and Price went to this LARGE barn in between Waxahachie and Ennis.  Looks like they are doing well…

Calls/Emails:   Unable to Reach a Barn Owner…???
I received an email from a guy wanting cats for his property.  I talked to him a week ago.  We discuss cats and where to put them and decided we would have to do a weekend because of both him and his wife’s work schedules.  OK – no problem.  BUT, he is not returning my phone messages and/or emails.  I am at a loss…  AND we are now out of weekend.

BMG:   Black Cats
My mom always said having a black cat was GOOD LUCK!  I agree with that.  I currently have 3 black cats, a calico, and a brown tabby.  Twice this week I heard that people are afraid of black cats.  NOT ME!  I just don’t get it.  At one point in my life I had 9 black cats.  Someone asked me if I was a witch.  ANSWER:  “I have 9 black cats – I don’t have time to be a witch!”

OMG:  Cats for the Backyard in Allen
The family had purchased a very nice cat house and set it up in the backyard behind a small garden shed.  It is always best when there is a “cat house” that it be incorporated inside the caging.  BUT – it was about 8 to 10 inches taller than any of my caging.  Well, it was time for a hillbilly fix:  You can do almost anything with enough bungee cords.  It took about an hour but I contained the cat house inside the fencing.  Fran and Denine are doing well there and I am glad.

Calls/Emails:   The Killer Cat -- UPDATE
BMG (Bitch/Moan/Groan):  Three Calico Cats
OMG (Oh My God):  Cat with Mushrooms

Relocations:   I placed 13 this week.
2          Barn in Southlake (Cho, Snickers)
2          Workshop in Burkburnett (Mama, Morgan)
2          Backyard in Wichita Falls (June, Dakota)
3          Workshop in Gainesville (Ophelia, Stripes, Tara)
2          Barn in Forney (Trish, Korbin)
2          Shed in Keller (Echo, Andrew)

Our Cats after Release:
1.     Rowlett:   Monty and Annika went to this horse riding stable.  Monty is now in the HOUSE (way to go) and Annika is taking care of business in the barn.  (best of both worlds)  Plus, 2 out of 3 of the other cats I put there are in the hay barn.
2.     Richardson:  Lacey went to this horse boarding/riding stable.  She is doing great.  Check out the “results”:

3.     Flower Mound:  Laura and Clancy went to this barn home with a Great Pyrenees to keep the coyotes away.  They have become friends and are doing well in the barn.
4.     Allen:  Zena, Topaz, and Sofie were placed in this workshop.  They are being illusive but the food and water is disappearing and the litter box is being used.  All is well!

Calls/Emails:   The Killer Cat -- UPDATE
Received a call to take a cat that is an “extreme” killer.  She brings home bodies each day and they are tired of the carnage.  WELL – now I have her and she will go to Wichita Falls later this next week.  I would be willing to bet they will be overrun with mice, rats, and bunnies.  LOOK OUT!  I warned them!
UPDATE:  The Killer Cat went to Wichita Falls where she is currently in a cage on a back porch.  It is the perfect place for her AND will be indoor/outdoor, too.  They are having a rodent problem due to a garden so she will be appreciated.

BMG:   Three Calico Cats
Received a call to take the three cats in the picture below.  This is from a barn in of the small towns boarding Dallas.  The folks are allergic and did not want to keep them…but…
            1.  They are obviously 3 female calicos
            2.  They have too much white on them (coyote target)
            3.  NO VET WORK:  not spayed, no shots, not tested
I told the owner that they had too much white and that they needed a backyard not a barn.  WELL, she had given them to someone with a barn which means probably a short life unless there is a donkey, Great Pyr, or llama to protect them.  She said the new owner will get them spayed (HOPE SO).  Geez!

OMG:  Cat with Mushrooms
This is from my front flower bed.  We have had so much rain now I have mushrooms growing everywhere.  I think this is kind of cute!

OMG (Oh My God):  Morris and Rascal – ADOPTED!

Relocations:   I placed 0 this week.  BUMMER!

Our Cats after Release:
1.     McKinney:  Simba, Fannie, and Sherman went to this barn.  All three are seen regularly and Simba was even out to see me.  I was not quick enough to get a picture…sorry!
2.     Burleson:  Cammy, Sigmund, and Rommy went to this garage attached to the family home.  ALSO, the husband is a veterinarian…yes!   The food is disappearing and the litter box used but they have not been seen.  I’ll bet they are all still around.
3.     Paradise:  Big Daddy and Senor went to this workshop/garage attached to the home.  Both are still around – so this is good.

Calls/Emails:   The Killer Cat
Received a call to take a cat that is an “extreme” killer.  She brings home bodies each day and they are tired of the carnage.  WELL – now I have her and she will go to Wichita Falls later this next week.  I would be willing to bet that her former home will be overrun with mice, rats, and bunnies.  LOOK OUT!  I warned them!

BMG:   First Too Hot – Now Raining!
It has cooled off but now is storming.  I cannot seem to win.  I just hope it stays cooler so I can get some cats placed this week.  I have an appointment for 4 going out on Friday.  I now have all 18 cages full with 2 in my family room.  GEEZ!

OMG:  Morris and Rascal – ADOPTED!
These two boys were returned to the Garland shelter where they would have been put down.  After a week or so here, I asked an adoption groups to take them for their Petco location.  Morris was adopted first on a Friday so I put Rascal up there.  Now he has been adopted as well.  SOOOOOO GOOD!
