Calls/Emails:  Dog, The Bounty Hunter
I received a call to put cats in a business where the current manager moved to Texas from Honolulu.  That is where “Dog” is from.  The manager said he has met Dog when he would come into the store…PLUS…He lived just down the street from Leland, Dog’s son.   WOW!

BMG:   Magic and Mirrors
Received a “reply” email from a potential client in Flower Mound.  Now:
1.     She sent the original email on October 8, 2014.
2.     My reply has a date of January 1, 2001 (Barn Cats did not exist until 2003)
3.     That reply sat in her junk file for a while…???
4.     She resent to me on January 14, 2018.
I called her this week and got Lemon and Pepsi out there.  What next????

OMG:  Royce City:  KILLING FIELD!
I placed a call to a location in Royce City to pick up equipment (Taylor, Mama, Tammy).  He is a contractor and has been in Houston for the last 2 weeks.  His wife was going to put out the stuff…but…she is in the hospital!   Geez!   So, I called him this weekend to set up a time to get the equipment this coming week.  He said “It is a KILLING FIELD out there!  They are doing a great job.  They even brought a body into the garage for us to see.  AND – Taylor, the cat, has turned friendly and has made friends with my daughter named TAYLOR!”  Well – it is always something!    HA HA!

2.     Ennis:  Matrix, Avalon, and Kelly went to this workshop/storage barn.  They have all been spotted.  I even saw KING CARL, too!

Calls/Emails:  Update from Paradise
Toyota, WW, Alex and Duke went to this farm.  The wife called this last week to report her husband just purchased a $300 GAME CAMERA to watch them in the barn.  Wow – Love her husband!

BMG:   Missing Corner Pins for our Cages
I put some cats out in Krum in the summer last year.  When I picked up the caging, we could not find the corner pins…there were 14 of them for a triple and a double cage.  The guy texted me last weekend that he had found the pins.  I arranged to meet him at a McDonalds in Denton at 12:30.  When I got there he texted that “They are not where I left them!”  This went on for about ½ hour but he never found them.   BUMMER!  I really need them!

OMG:  Lucky in Dallas – UPDATE!
I placed Lucky as a backyard cat in Dallas.  I have pictures of his “play house”, his first kill, and now INSIDE!  They let him in during the cold weather and he is sleeping with their Rag Doll.

Relocations:   I placed 3 this week.  All will have heaters or heat lamps with them plus our double winter hidey boxes, rugs and blankets to cover the cages.
3          Adoption Group (Amy, Thomas, Toulouse)

Our Cats after Release:
1.     Parker:  Bella and Ringa went to this barn in Parker where the husband is an animal surgeon.  They have not been seen but the food is disappearing and the litter box is being used.  They have burrowed under the hay – I’ll bet.
2.     Paradise:  WW, Toyota, Alex, and Duke went to this barn home.  Alex and Duke are hanging around but WW and Toyota have gone next door.  GO FIGURE!

Calls/Emails:  Gloria Now Inside in Leonard
The husband went out to walk their dog and found Gloria curled up in a chair on the front porch.  SO – he let her inside.  She like the dog and the other inside cat…so…ALL IS WELL IN LEONARD!  Two other inside cats were older and have passed away.  The other cat likes her and everyone is getting along great.  YES!

BMG:   Call on the Holiday Weekend
A lady had a cat for several months.  She decided to take it to an adoption group.  The cat did not act well there.  They recommended Barn Cats so she called.  It was Sunday afternoon.  The cat has a rabies shot and that is all.  The husband said “Don’t bring that cat back here!”  She was at a loss but I cannot help her.  It had not been sterilized, or tested, or had a FVRCP shot AND it is Sunday of a holiday weekend.  I don’t know what she did…???  BUMMER for the cat!

OMG:  Petey’s First Owner in DeSoto
Petey is the female cat that started out in DeSoto, then went to Bartonville, then Argyle and now is back here after a check of the microchip in Flower Mound.  I first put her in DeSoto in 2012.  I featured her in our current fundraising letter “An Amazing Story”.  The DeSoto barn owner called to say how glad he was to see that Petey is still OK.  She is now about 10 years old and I am not going to put her out again.  She will finish out her life here at Barn Cats.  WAY TO GO, PETEY!
