Blog 01/22/18 to 01/28/18

Seeking someone to take over Barn Cats, Inc.:  I would like to officially retire as Executive Director in 2019.  I can retain the fundraising pieces but would like to stop the relocations, equipment pickups, phone calls, and emails…the day-to-day stuff.  I will be available for consultation.  If interested call or email Barn Cats…972-315-2875 info@barncats.org

Calls/Emails:  Dog, The Bounty Hunter
I received a call to put cats in a business where the current manager moved to Texas from Honolulu.  That is where “Dog” is from.  The manager said he has met Dog when he would come into the store…PLUS…He lived just down the street from Leland, Dog’s son.   WOW!

BMG:   Magic and Mirrors
Received a “reply” email from a potential client in Flower Mound.  Now:
1.     She sent the original email on October 8, 2014.
2.     My reply has a date of January 1, 2001 (Barn Cats did not exist until 2003)
3.     That reply sat in her junk file for a while…???
4.     She resent to me on January 14, 2018.
I called her this week and got Lemon and Pepsi out there.  What next????

OMG:  Royce City:  KILLING FIELD!
I placed a call to a location in Royce City to pick up equipment (Taylor, Mama, Tammy).  He is a contractor and has been in Houston for the last 2 weeks.  His wife was going to put out the stuff…but…she is in the hospital!   Geez!   So, I called him this weekend to set up a time to get the equipment this coming week.  He said “It is a KILLING FIELD out there!  They are doing a great job.  They even brought a body into the garage for us to see.  AND – Taylor, the cat, has turned friendly and has made friends with my daughter named TAYLOR!”  Well – it is always something!    HA HA!

Thanks for following the Barn Cats Blog.            Peg
