Our Cats after Release:
1.     Paris (TX not France):  Terrance, Emmie, and Tony went to this garage.  They are all still around, eating and using the litter box.  A large DEAD RAT was found on a piece of equipment in their barn.  It had teeth marks in its neck.  Cats are working!
2.     Justin:  Mama Kitty, Cam, and Kiz went to this shed with a large motor home.  All have been seen going in and out of the shed window.  GOOD STUFF!  …and the rat poop is gone!

Calls/Emails:  NO INTERNET AND PHONE!
Got up on Saturday morning to a dead router that will not reconnect.  GEEZ!  Of course, I called Frontier but someone is going to have to come out.  You don’t realize how much you use it until you don’t have it:  call the remote number to check phone messages; cannot go to MapQuest to look up an address for a relo; no TV; cannot pay bills online; etc.  I am getting a lot of junky stuff done – filing, database updates, and cleaning equipment – but it certainly is boring.  Went to Neighbor Nancy’s house last night to watch TV and have a martini – well there are “some” good things!

BMG:   Upper Respiratory Infection
Everybody is seeing the URIs this month.  The SPCA has had an outbreak and the Lewisville shelter seems to always be having it.  I am holding a nice cat “Junior” that had a Convenia shot over a week ago but is still sneezing.  I will get him a second shot this week and get him placed.  He will be going indoor to Quinlan.

OMG:  Turtle with a Cracked Shell
POOR TURTLES!  All they want to do is get across the road but someone always seems to hit them.  I always stop to get them from the road if I can.  This one had a cracked shell and was up-side-down.  There was blood on the concrete and it was still fresh.  I put him to the side and turned him over.  Maybe he was not dead and will recover.  I can just hope for the best.

1.     Lucas:  Siam, Samantha, and Sonny went to this barn/shed in Lucas.  All have been spotted on the property and I even saw Siam.
2.     Keller:  Sherbet, Sherman, and Manny went to this backyard with a chicken coop.  The young daughter has tamed two of them and is now a “cat whisper”.  Way to go!
3.     Dallas:  Lucky went to this backyard and is doing great with the family.

4.     Sanger/Krum:  Helen, Jasper, and Yuri went to this barn behind the main house.  All are doing great – take a look:

Calls/Emails:  Grandview Mess
Got a call from the daughter of an elderly guy in Grandview.  When I told her we don’t pick up and they have to be spayed/neutered, she went off “They are just barn cats!”  Yes they are barn cats but we are moving them and cannot “move” problems and/or diseases.  Next – SHE HUNG UP ON ME.  Moral:  Don’t let elderly parents cause problem for you later when they need assistance.  Get those areas taken care of before it becomes an emergency.

BMG:   Toll Ramp – What?
I-35E has been there for eons but the Sam Rayburn T ollway is newer.  There has never been a direct ramp to I-35E from the Rayburn.  One has just been completed after many, many months of work.  NOW THERE IS A TOLL TO USE THE RAMP – Geez – anyway to take our money!!!!!

OMG:  Buddhist Temple in Keller
I saw the top of the tower when I took cats to Keller 3 weeks ago.  I remembered this so went to see it when I picked up the equipment this week.  Who knew – Buddhists in Keller!

Our Cats after Release:

2.     Collinsville:  Tabitha when to live in the office area of the children’s camp.  Marta and Samoa went to the workshop and Blackie and Wally went to the barn.  All are still around and seen daily.
3.     Canton:  Chimmy, Big Daddy, and Meanie went to this workshop in Canton.  Meanie is living under one of the houses and Chimmy is “everywhere” (running the property and riding on the tracker with the ranch manager).  Big Daddy is staying mostly in the workshop.
4.     Alvarado:  Rex and Mister went to this warehouse.  They are friendly cats so I saw both.  Rex is the tabby and Mister is gray.

Calls/Emails:  GET A MESSAGE BOX ON YOUR PHONE!
Here we go again – If you don’t have a message box on your phone then DON’T LEAVE ME A MESSAGE.  That puts the responsibility on me to try and reach you.  If you don’t have a message box then don’t use anyone else’s box – RUDE!

BMG:   Back-Only Declawed Cat
Took some cats into East Texas this week.  The property owner said a friend from work had given her a cat.  She brought it home to discover that is was BACK-ONLY DECLAWED!  WHAT?  Who would do that and why?  Also – must have been done by a veterinarian – GEEZ!

OMG:  Truck on I-30 in the Rain
ON MY GOD!  I was in line to change from I-30 to 635 when this 18-wheeler FORCED his way in to the line.   …and it was raining!  OUCH!
