Seeking someone to
take over Barn Cats, Inc.: I would like to officially
retire as Executive Director in 2019. I
can retain the fundraising pieces but would like to stop the relocations,
equipment pickups, phone calls, and emails…the day-to-day stuff. I will be available for consultation… If interested call or email Barn

1 Backyard
in Dallas (Lucky)
3 Barn
in Justin (Mama Kitty, Cam, Kiz)
3 Garage
in Paris (Tony, Emmie, Terrance)
Our Cats after Release:
1.
McKinney: Louis, Bruce, Mako, Bingo,
Smiley, and Callie all went to this garage/workshop in McKinney. All are still around and doing great. I even saw Louis and Bruce when I was
there.
2.
Celeste: Giselle, Linda, and
Peter are living in this barn in Celeste.
All are seen regularly and Giselle was even still in her carrier in the
cage! SO – I left the carrier. No Problem!
3.
Sanger: Shreveport, Leah and
Lilly went to this backyard shed. The owners
put in a window with a cat door into the shed which is working great. Lilly got out by pushing a part of the siding
out. They are unsure if she is still
around but the other two are seen mornings and evenings.
Calls/Emails: Kittens, Kittens, and
More Kittens!
If
a cat shows up and you don’t get it sterilized, then you have kittens, kittens,
and more kittens. This is not ROCKET
SCIENCE! The stupid ones here are the
people. This is a problem that is easily
resolved at the start – but the longer you let it go on, the worse is the
problem. SORRY – YOU CAUSED THIS – NOT ME! Gave them advise but that is it. We do not take kittens – there are 400
adoption groups in the DFW area.
BMG: Dead Hog on the Road
I
noticed a bunch of buzzards on the side of the road. That always is the key that something has
been hit by a car. It is usually a
coyote, raccoon, etc. but this time it was a GIANT BLACK FERAL HOG! (I assume it was feral) WOW – never seen that before.
OMG: Peacocks Dumped
Took
some equipment to a barn north of Decatur.
The owner said that someone had dumped two peacocks – WHAT? They hired someone to remove them. I hope they were relocated not just killed…?????
Always here of dogs and cats dumped –
not peacocks!
Thanks
for following the Barn Cats Blog. Peg
