Bad Calls/EMAILS:  13-Year Old Un-Spayed Feral Female
Someone has had a feral cat in their home for 13 years and never had her to a vet.  Now she is moving and cannot take the cat.  SO – I am concerned because this cat had never had any shots.  The cat is going to be tested, spayed, and given shots this week or next week.  Barn Cats will get her for the cat room and just let her live out her days there.  GOOD GRIEF!

BMG:  Potential Eviction
I received a call from a mentally challenged guy in Fort Worth.  He had taken in two female cats that had given birth to a total on 7 kittens who are now about 3 to 4 months old.  His apartment has a 2-pet limit but had let him come in with 3.  Now he had 9 additional for a total of 12 in a one-bedroom apartment.  The manager said “Get rid of the 9 or move.”  We were lucky enough to get all 9 into the SPCA which is the only organization with enough room to take in 9 at any one time.  It is a great opportunity for those cats.  There were VERY socialized and none were sick.  We picked them up in Fort Worth and then headed East to Dallas.   It could not have been better.

OMG:  Abandoned Mansion
This garage is connected to an abandoned MANSION where a “hoarder” lived for many years.  A local family has purchased the property and is in the process of restoring it.  There were MANY RODENTS that had destroyed the plaster on the walls, etc.  The new owner gave Nancy and I the “grand tour”.  There is a beautiful library in the front all with newly refinished dark wood.  This property certainly fell into the right hands and will soon be FABULOUS once again.  Plus, now Minnie, Meow-Meow, and Little One will be there to keep off more of the nasty critters.

Auction Preview
There will be a whole section of Texas-themed items.  We have a bird house and feeder made of Texas license plates and two items made of barbed wire:  a cross and a star (has names of folks that registered that particular type of barbed wire and dates of registry):
