Relocations and In Take:   We had 3 placements this week. (Rain, Rain, and more Rain)   

3          Adoption Group (Cole, Connor, Celia)

Our Cats after Release:

1.     Boyd:    Mufusa, Terri, Sally, Smudge, and Julius went to this backyard in Boyd just behind the high school.  The family is seeing all of these cats – SCORE!  3 are living under their travel trailer, 1 is hanging out in a wood pile, and 2 are under the house. 

2.     Flower Mound:  Henry and Harry went to this backyard.  Unfortunately they have taken off.  The home owners are still holding out hope that they will return so we will just have to wait and see.  They will take additional cats if the boys do not return. 

3.     Gunter:  Shamu and Ebony went to the barn/workshop.  They are going in and out a window and it seems to be working out well for them.    

Bad Calls/EMAILS:  Adoption Group Issue

I like to TRADE cats with all the local adoption groups.  When they get a cat that has been returned for biting or not using the litter box, I trade with them either from a friendly cat that has come in here or for one from a local kill animal shelter.  I traded a cat to a representative from a group earlier this year.  Now she wants to return that cat…???  I misplaced her phone number so I called the general number for the group and….oops….she is a “wild card” and has been removed from the group.  So – will just try and get that cat back and we will move on.   

BMG:  Reverse Mortgage

Well, another elderly couple with a reverse mortgage has passed away and they have several cats on the property.  THAT WAS 6 MONTHS AGO and the family is just now deciding to try and place the cats now that the bank has started refurbishing the property.  Of course, no vet work has ever been done – surprise!   Sorry – cannot help on this one – just too many others in the pipeline.      

OMG:  Hercules Update

Had a picture of him in last week’s Blog.  Now he is sitting in the lap of the home owner and KISSING their female cat.  Look out, Hercules!  You are turning into a home-body!
