2          Barn in Palmer (Jinx, Pipsqueak)
3          Barn in Denton (Stacy, Turtle, Myrna)
6          Bonham Rescue

Our Cats after Release:  Picked up equipment in 1 location this week.
1.      Terrell:  7 ferals from Aledo were relocated to this cattle ranch just outside Terrell.  All but one have been spotted in and around the feed barn and the equipment shed.  Below is a picture of a torti on top of the edge of the feed barn.  She looks fat and happy!  Property owners are seeing much less evidence of rodents.

Bad Calls/EMAILS:  Moving to California TOMORROW
OK – how long does it take to PLAN a move to California?   This daughter is moving with her mom and the mom will not let her take her cats.  She did nothing on the weekend because EVERYONE WILL BE CLOSED – WRONG!  The weekend is the time to talk to groups at PetsMart and Petco locations.  She missed that opportunity.  I referred her to the SPCA of Texas – hope they can help her.  GEEZ!

BMG:  ARF Fundraiser DONE!
The Barn Cats website was done in 2003-4 in HTML.  We need it in a more-easily format for updating.  It has been an on-going struggle to find someone to do it.  Last Spring, I offered to either pay Rob at ARF or do an auction for the organization.  He selected the auction because there is a chance to make much more CASH than if I just paid him.  So – last Sunday was the day.  Chris, Nancy and I unloaded on Saturday night after dinner service at Bistecca and then Nancy, Julie, Donna, and I set up the Silent Auction on Sunday about noon.  The event started at 4.  YOU NEVER KNOW with a first time event what will sell and how much wine they will drink.  I purchased 5 cases (Pinot Grigio, Malbec, Cabernet, White Zen, Riesling) – which turned out to be just right with ½ case of White Zen, Pinot, Malbec and Cab but only 1 bottle of Riesling.  Barn Cat Bash attendees like that BLACK CAT RIESLING, too.

OMG:  The Bug Dude
I was coming home from All Care in Coppell on Saturday when I spotted this business truck next to me at a traffic light.  SO – The Bug Dude is Total Pest Control – Excluding Ex’s and Inlaws.  LOVE IT!

“Thanks” for following the Barn Cats Blog.  See you on next week.          Peg
