Blog 05/01/17 to 05/07/17

Seeking someone to take over Barn Cats, Inc.:  I would like to officially retire as Executive Director in 2018.  I can retain the fundraising pieces but would like to stop the relocations, equipment pickups, phone calls, and emails…the day-to-day stuff.  I will be available for consultation…  If interested call or email Barn Cats…972-315-2875 info@barncats.org

Our Cats after Release:
1.     Double Oak:  Pringle and Cobbler went to this workshop.  They are living in the attic area which is where the rodents were living as well.  GOOD BY RODENTS!
2.     Lillian:  Lil Cupcake and Agave are in a workshop/garage/had storage area.  Rodents are gone and the cats are great.
3.     Trenton:  Marmalade and Tilly went to this workshop.  Tilly is still there but the other has not been seen.  I took Serena out there to be friends with Tilly.
4.     Godley:  Victoria, Beau, and Marcos went to this shed in a backyard.  One was chasing bugs the night before I came.  They are seeing 2 out or the 3 – that is good!
5.     McKinney:  Rachael went to this garage to help Kingston with rodent control.  She is living under the neighbor’s trash bins but maybe there are rodents there…???
6.     Sunnyvale:  Nelson and Wallace went to live with Whitney, Chester, Onyx, and Frank.  I moved them to the shed and everyone is getting along.
7.     Argyle:  Midnight went to live with Jello, Scampi, and Shorty in this barn.  One of the tabby and white cats was still in a carrier!  Guess she feels safe there.  I left the carrier when I cleared out the caging to set up Midnight.
8.     Ponder:  Marty, Spooky, Isabella, and Bruce went to this barndominum/workshop area.  Got pictures of the two black ones.  The other two were hiding.

Calls/Emails:  Greta Update from Anna
I placed a cat names Greta last October in Anna.  She is doing well and both “parents” love here.  WAY TO GO, GRETA!

BMG:   Flat Mouse!
I went to clean equipment and THIS WAS ON THE BOTTOM OF A CAGE PIECE!

OMG:  Cat Door Window
I encourage folks to put in a cat door but mount it in a window.  That was it is not at ground level where raccoons and skunks can come in, too.  This is a good example from Trenton…

Photos:  Bottle Tree Mail Box
I love unusual mail boxes.  This one is in Sunnyvale.  They put a small bottle tree on top of their mailbox.  Love it!

Thanks for following the Barn Cats Blog.            Peg
