Relocations:   I placed 7 this week.
3          Garage in Granbury (Josephine, Torti, Black Jack)
3          Barn in Pottsboro (Lane, Bella, Ramsey)
1          Plant Nursery in Flower Mound (Oreo)

Our Cats after Release:
1.     Double Oak:  Placed Atticus and Balboa in this family garage that is also for business storage…lots of boxes.  Well, Atticus did not adjust and I had to take him back.  Balboa is doing great.
2.     Wylie:  Harpo went to this barn where we already have one or two cats.  He adjusted well and has made friends with the other cat there.
3.     Allen:  Fran and Denine (now Shadow and Misty) went to this backyard.  They have a wonderful “cat house”.  Both are still around and enjoying their new home.  That is Misty’s head behind the fountain.  Take a look….

Calls/Emails:   Caught 34 Rats this Year:  Update
Just talked to a lady who lives in an older neighborhood in the Dallas area.  They have caught 34 rats since January!  OUCH!  Neighbors had cats who used to hang out in their yard but them moved and took the cats.  Now the rodents are TAKING OVER!  I hope they decide to take a couple.  I could get them set up this week and end this rat problem.   We shall see!
Update:  They did not call back!   We can help if they do call.

BMG:   Please take my kittens…
No -- Sorry, we don’t take kittens:  they get carried off by a hawk in the daytime or an owl at night.  ADULTS ONLY – 8 months and older plus spayed/neutered.
The other issue is:  “They don’t belong to me but I feed them.”  Then by Texas law, if you feed them you own them.  That is just the way it is.

OMG:  RAIN/Mud Causes Vehicle Damage
Well, I lost control on an unpaved country road and slipped onto the edge into shrubs and a small tree.  The Barn Cat van is damaged and in for repairs.  I guess that is what insurance is for!!!!!

Thanks for following the Barn Cats Blog.            Peg
